GBA urges stakeholders to present licences, medical reports of boxers

The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has urged all licensed boxers to submit their ‘authenticated and verifiable’ medical reports to the Authority by the end of January, 2023, without further delay. A press statement by the Communication Directorate of the GBA says the move is part of efforts “to improve upon the smooth, steady rise of administration of the sport this year.”

“All stakeholders under GBA must present their licences for renewal at the secretariat for the betterment of all.

“All licensed boxing promoters are kindly requested to visit the GBA secretariat with their propose dates for boxing events for the year 2023, as well as cross checking of available dates for fight promotions,” it added.

Copied to all professional boxers, coaches, managers, promoters and ring officials, the GBA statement lauded the “profound contributions” and support of the sport’s stakeholders towards the success of 2022 and wished them a successful new year.

“We are, however, looking forward to your maximum cooperation and support in making 2023 even more successful.”
