Kylian Mbappe has broken his silence after France’s agonising World Cup final defeat against Argentina, insisting that his side will bounce back to challenge for more silverware.
Mbappe almost single-handedly dragged his team over the finishing line as he became just the second men’s player after Geoff Hurst to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final.
Hurst’s 1966 hat-trick came in a winning cause, but Mbappe still ended up the losing side as Argentina triumphed on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw. Mbappe took to Twitter on Monday morning to post a defiant three-word message following France’s loss.

Mbappe dazzled in Qatar, scoring eight goals in seven matches to pip Lionel Messi to the Golden Boot.
He has now netted 12 goals in the two World Cups he has played in, putting him level with Pele.
Only five male players have scored more World Cup goals than Mbappe, and he is just four goals behind Germany’s Miroslav Klose who currently sits top of the list.
The French forward could go past Klose at the next World Cup, and he will still only be 27 when the tournament is played in North America.
France have made four of the last seven World Cup finals, winning two and losing two, highlighting that they have been one of the best sides in world football for some time.
