Fianoo: Have faith in local coaches

Chairman for the Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA), Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo has called on Ghanaians clubs to have faith in local coaches.

Mr. Fianoo reiterated that, giving local coaches the opportunity was the best way to produce more coaches in Ghana.

He also called on clubs to allow them to operate free of the usual interference that characterizes their work.

“We must give local coaches the chance to operate. CK Akonnor is showing what local coaches can do.
Managements should give coaches free hands to operate and allow them to work.”

“They shouldn’t be visiting training grounds anyhow. They can be visiting the training grounds once in a month or so,” he told Kessben FM.

Meanwhile, Head Coach of the national U-23 football team, the Black Meteors, Ibrahim Tanko is set to join the team in camp this week from his tour abroad.

The team is preparing for their AFCON U-23 qualifier against Gabon on March 23-26, 2019.

Tanko who doubles as the Assistant Coach of the Black Stars was on a monitoring and scouting mission for the senior national team as they begin preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Twenty four players are already in the camp of the Black Meteors for the game. –FootballmadeinGhana
