FBNBank takes steps to empower SMEs

In line with its agenda of empowering the Small and Medium-scale Enterprise (SME) sector, FBNBank has announced that it is organising a series of SME Fairs for businesses in that segment.

The move is aimed at fostering growth and attracting potential customers to patronise their products and services.

A statement issued by the bank in Accra yesterday said, “The SME fair will be an opportunity to support the businesses of customers of the bank in that segment as it will offer them a platform to showcase their products and services.”

According to the statement, it would also benefit customers who visit the branches hosting the fair as they would get the opportunity to see the products and services being exhibited and hopefully make purchases.

“The FBNBank SME fair comes in two editions; the first one is scheduled to take place from December 12 to 16, 2023 at the Atomic Branch, with the second one taking place simultaneously at the Dome, Santa Maria, and Tema Hospital Road Branches from December 19 to 23 2023,” the statement said.

Commenting on the upcoming SME fair, Mr Victor Yaw Asante, FBNBank Ghana’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said, “SMEs are the lifeline of any economy, contributing significantly to employment and economic growth. However, these enterprises often face unique challenges when it comes to financing.”

“For us at FBNBank, the upcoming SME Fair is not just an event; it is a testament to our unwavering commitment to empower local businesses and contribute to the overall prosperity of the communities we serve. At FBNBank, we see ourselves as partners in the success stories of our entrepreneurs, a reflection of our dedication to providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive,” he said.
