FBNBank Ghana reward promo winners

FBNBank Ghana has rewarded the ultimate winners of its “To Qatar We Go” promotion.

The promotion, which started August 1, 2022 to October 31, 2022, was to reward and support loyal customers of the bank to watch the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

It was also to garner support for the national team, the Black Stars and also whip public interest in the tournament.

In all, 10 ultimate winners were awarded with two sets of prizes.

Three customers of the bank, Hakeem Abuba from the Spintex branch, Seidu Kwaku Tawiah from Kasoa branch and Cynthia Nyarkoa from Dansoman branch would enjoy a week-long all-expense paid return trip to Qatar to watch the football tournament and support the Black Stars.

Seven others winners each won a 43-inch television set with a decoder with a month’s free subscription.

Speaking at a short ceremony in Accra on Wednesday to reward winners of the “To Qatar We Go” promotion, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FBNBank Ghana, Victor Yaw Asante, said the promotion was to mobilise public support for the Black Stars.

He said the promotion which was in line with Bank’s philosophy of customer’s first, formed part of the commitment of the Bank to support football in the country.

He added “Our brand enjoins us to put our stakeholders first and that is exactly what we have set out do here by supporting the Black Stars to prepare for the Wild Cup and to provide opportunities for Ghanaians to be behind them.”

So far, Mr Asante said FBNBank made a cash donation of GH¢200, 000 to the government to support the preparation of the Black Stars for the tournament.

The Managing Director said the winners were selected through an electronic draw supervised by the National Lottery Authority.

Mr Asante while wishing the Black Stars well in the tournament, said he was hopeful the National team would beat the Portuguese.

He wished the winners of the promotion a safe flight to and from Qatar.

“Enjoy every bit of the trip, and send us selfies to post on our social media handles,” Mr Asante said.

Some of the award winners who spoke to the Ghanaian Times said they were excited about the opportunity to watch the WorldCup tournament in Qatar.

“This is a lifetime and rare opportunity for me to travel free to Qatar to watch, cheer and support the Black Stars,” one of the winners said in an interview.
