Faith Soccer Academy embark on Europe tour

Eighteen players and four officials of Faith Soccer Academy (FSA) on Saturday left for a tour of Europe.

The team will be away for two months.

The fast-moving Prampram-based outfit is expected to participate in trial games across all six countries including France, Denmark, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Germany.

General Manager and Chief Administrator of FSA, Mr Charway Jacob Oluaka, said the team would make the best of the trip.

“We have a sweet array of young talents who are ready to serve Europe a fine taste of Ghana football.

“The players are very thrilled about the trip. They are determined and know they have a great opportunity to unleash all the skill and flair inside them,” he told the Times Sports yesterday.

The academy, which has been nurturing young soccer talents from age 13 to 20 in Ghana since its establishment some eight years ago, qualified to the third tier of the Ghanaian league, last year.

Known as the Pride of Prampram, the academy produced a string of mind-boggling performances to win the Dangme South third division league, gushing into their new status in Ghana football.

The team is expected back in the country on June 8, this year.
