He has, therefore, admonished them to avoid wasteful and worthless lifestyles such as indulging in abuse of alcohol, smoking and immoral activities which could destroy their future.

“Rather, you must channel your energies into acquisition of knowledge to guarantee you a brighter future,” he said.

Professor Ephraim was speaking at the 14th graduation ceremony of BlueCrest College held in Accra on Saturday on the theme: ‘Nurturing Self-Sustainable Africa through Education’.

In all, 132 students graduated, out of which 79 students were awarded with Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degrees in Information Technology, Mass Communication and Journalism and Business Administration, while the rest were awarded with diploma certificates.

Prof. Ephraim advised the youths to position themselves for opportunities that abound in the country, adding that these could only be achieved through pursuit of academic success.

The Dean of Students Affairs at University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Dr Ernest Akwasi Amponsah, congratulated the students for their achievements and advised them to be good ambassadors for the school.

“As alumni, you must live positive lifestyle that would have great impact on the school. Whatever behaviour you exhibit has the tendency to either demolish BlueCrest or promote image the school,” he said.

An Entrepreneur, Mr Dev Varyani charged the students to be active members of the BlueCrest College Alumni Association to enable them to become part of the decision body of the college.
