Embark on issue-based campaign – Ofosu Ampofo

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ofosu Ampofo has tasked the youth wing of the party to embark on issue-based campaign to have an upper hand on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to return the NDC to power in January 2021.

He asked them to approach the campaign by mobilising, energising and resourcing with all hands on deck devoid of complacency from the grassroots and branch levels towards a resounding victory.

Mr Ampofo made the call at the inauguration of the Greater Accra Regional Youth Wing Working Committee  of the NDC with the sole mandate of mobilising, energising and resourcing to return the party to winning ways on December 7, 2020.

Speaking on the theme, ‘Mobilising, energising and resourcing the youth for victory 2020’, he urged the party youth to approach the campaign with an all hands on deck approach devoid of complacency with a primary focus on the branch and constituency levels.

Mr Ampofo entreated them to “embark on issue-based campaigns since in my estimation, the NDC has an upper hand over the NPP in terms of visible achievements which the NPP has not been able to contest but destroyed them.

Ade Coker, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, charged the party youth to desist from character assassination and derogatory remarks on social media and focus on working the grounds to ensure a resounding victory.

Joshua Akamba, the National Organiser of the NDC, cautioned the youth party not to take for granted the elections because they did work harder than previous elections towards a one touch victory to consolidate the gains made by the party.

“The period where people sacrifice for the party to win and are later ignored is over, the situation affected the party in the 2016 elections, those who will work hard for the party to regain power will never be forgotten,” he assured. -classfmonline.com
