Ejisuman SHS expels 7 female students from boarding house

The Ejisuman Senior High School in Ashanti has expelled seven female students from the boarding house for uploading sexually-oriented video onto the internet.

They are Ruth Owusu,Samira Ibrahim,  Vera  Adufah Appiah, Patience  Twumwaa, Juanita Osei Bonsu, Victoria  Adarkwa and Jeanine Agyapong,  all final year students.

This followed a meeting of the school’s management, affected students and their parents.

A statement issued by the school management, dated February 6, this year, indicated that the students used unauthorised gadget (mobile handset) to dent the image of the school, and the students intentionally uploaded the video on the social media where unprintable words that bordered on sex were spewed out.

According to the statement, the action of the students had damaged the image of the school, which was recovering from the 2017 scandal of which male tutors of the school were accused of having sexual affairs with female students.

In the viral video, the students were heard telling their fellow friends to ‘loosen their bodies’ a little bit for boys to have sex with them.

Their argument was, if they (the girls, who claim are virgins) should die, their private parts would go waste, so they should make themselves available for sex.

Many citizens, the Ghanaian Times interacted with expressed concern about how Ghana has now turned into fun-fair with indiscipline becoming the order of the day thus corrupting the morals of the young generation.

They wondered how the code and ethics of Ghana Education Service did not allow mobile handset  use  in SHS, but students have access to them and use them for needless things.
