Dwarfs announce kit sponsorship deal with Icarus

Division One League (DOL) side, Cape Coast ‘Ebusua’ Dwarfs has announced US-based Icarus as the new kit sponsor if the club in a two-year renewable deal.

Announcing the deal in Accra yesterday, the President of the club, Nana Sam Brew Butler said the partnership would propel the club to achieve greatness this season and beyond.

“Icarus would be the sole kit sponsor for the club as we look forward to a new beginning,” he said.

He said with the club’s great history, associating with Icarus would be a huge boost that will ensure they returned to their glory days.

The likes of Robert Mensah, Aggrey Fynn, and C.K Gyamfi he said, were all players who contributed to the great history of the club and looked forward to young players replicating the feat.

He said the official outdooring of the jerseys would be done in Cape Coast after which while replica jerseys would be available for fans.

Executive Director of Dwarfs, Mr. Anthony Awotwi said the association with Icarus would take the club to places.

“We are very positive and would sell good football to Ghana and our partners would reap the benefits of the association,” he stressed.

“We are sure the players would be excited to have these kits and hope it would impact on their performance and take the club to greater heights,” Director in Charge of Operations, Mr. John Ansah added.

Officials of Icarus who spoke via zoom said they were also pleased with the partnership with Dwarfs considering their rich history and culture.
