A 40-year-old driver, has been put before the Circuit Court in Accra, for allegedly compelling his 15-year-old daughter, to fondle his manhood.
Daniel Konadu is also accused of denying the victim money and subjecting her to severe beating for refusing to comply with his order.
Charged with sexual harassment, Konadu has been admitted to GH¢20,000 bail with two sureties who are to be family members.
The court presided over by Mr K. ObiriYeboahadjourned the case to September 7, to enable accused to obtain the service of a lawyer.
Prosecution said the complainant, mother of the girl, was a trader residing at Darkuman, Accra, while accused resided in Accra with his daughter.
The court heard that Konadu had been living with the victim for the past one year and six months and he had allegedly denied the complainant, access to the girl.
Prosecution said the victim reported to the complainant that her father allegedly asked her (daughter) to fondle his penis and when she refused, he refused to give her money and subject her to severe beating.
The case was reported to the Kaneshie Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit and accused was arrested. -GNA
