Porcupine Warriors Kumasi Asante Kotoko yesterday stunned Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu, licking the home team 1-0 to grab all three points at stake in their Match-day 9 Ghana Premier League encounter.
An own goal in the 67th minute by Abdul Bashiru did the damage to Dreams who were reduced to 10-men in the 36th minute after Amadu Dantani had received a second yellow card.
Dreams’ blooper may have been a pre-Valentine package for Kotoko – even before the February 14 feast.
Yesterday’s win catapulted Kotoko to the third spot of the log.
At the Paa Kwesi Nduom Stadium, Elmina Sharks put up some sterling performance to crush visiting Berekum Chelsea 3-1.
Bernard Boateng carved a niche for himself when he banged home all three goals for the Sharks as they humbled the league leaders who got a consolation goal through Kofi Owusu.
