He acknowledged that the North East Region, being a newly established region, required numerous developmental projects.

Dr Bawumia made these remarks during his nationwide campaign tour in Nalerigu, the capital of the North East Region, on Monday.

He highlighted that over the past six years, more than 500 infrastructure development projects have been initiated in the region, with some still in progress towards completion.

Dr Bawumia assured that the government would continue to support the people of the region by implementing more development projects.

He emphasised the creation of the region had led to improvements in school infrastructures, healthcare facilities, roads, and other social interventions.

Furthermore, Dr Bawumia expressed his commitment to further enhancing development in the region if elected the President of Ghana.

He also pledged to continue with all ongoing projects in the region if given the chance.

The Vice President called upon the chiefs, youth, clergy, and traditional authorities in the area to prioritise peace, as it was essential for fostering more development.

During his tour, he engaged with market women, clergy, youth groups, chiefs, farmers, and traditional authorities.
