Don picks forms to contest La Dadekotopon NPP primary

Mr Gerald Joseph Nii Tetteh Nyanyofio, a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), yesterday picked nomination forms to contest the La Dadekotopon Constituency New Patriotic Party(NPP)  primary in the Greater Accra Region.

Followed by hundreds of party supporters  who were dancing to Jama  songs, they eventually brought the traffic leading to the party’s constituency office, at La township main streets to a halt on Friday.

The procession was welcomed to the NPP office by the constituency chairman, Samuel Kingsley Addison  who after receiving the forms and accompanied cheque advised the aspirant on the need to conduct a clean campaign devoid of character assassination and mudslinging.

He said the party would expect a civic campaign that would  unite all aspirants and the followers after the primary with a common goal of retaining the seat for the party.

Mr Addison told Mr Nyanyofio that the incumbent MP, Vincent Odotei Sowah and another aspirant Comfort Adei Kotey have picked their nomination forms indicating their willingness to contest the primary.

He wished the aspirants well in his political endeavours and reiterated the need for a clean campaign.

Mr Nyanyofio pledged his support for a clean campaign and stressed that his teeming supporters obliged.

He said that there many development projects, he would initiate when the opportunity was given to him to lead the party to win the December polls.

Mr Nyanyofio said he had the tracked records that speaks volumes for itself, and would well solicit massive votes from delegates.

Meanwhile, the La-Kpaa Wulomo, the Spiritual Leader of all Deities in La prayed for victory for the aspirant when he paid him a courtesy call at his residence on the way to picking the nomination forms.
