Division One League cracker: Can Na God unsettle Heart of Lions in Kpando?

The first round of the Division One League (DOL) will be packed with lip-smacking clashes over the weekend in all three zones.

But the centre of attraction will be the Kpando Stadium, where Zone 3 leaders, Heart of Lions, welcome third-placed Na God to a tough match-day 15 clash in the Division One League (DOL) tomorrow.

The hosts have been on a winning streak, having won all their last five games, including a 2-0 victory over lower-tier side MSK Zilina in the FA Cup Round of 16.

The former Premier League candidates will be aiming to keep the momentum and maintain their spot but will have to test the might of the debutants.

Na God are, undoubtedly, one of the best performing teams, winning five out of their last six meetings with one draw – making them a tough opponent to overcome.

Second-placed, Semper, will chase for another win tomorrow when they host Golden Kick at the Nii Adjei Kraku Park.

A win for Semper will see the Koforidua-based club reduce the points gap to one with 28 points in 14 games and will hope Lions with 32 points, fall to Na God.

At the Tema Sports Stadium today, A5 Rences will take on Volta Rangers, while Mighty Jets lock horns with high-flying Krystal Palace.

The action continues tomorrow in Zone 2 where leaders, Skyy FC, battle third-placed, Swedru All Blacks, at the Swedru Stadium in a tough contest.

Pacific Heroes will battle Future Stars at the Ejisu Okese Park today, while former Premier League campaigners Elmina Sharks travel to face Holy Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park same day.

The Ohene Ameyaw Park will be lighted up tomorrow when two title challenging teams, Eleven Wonders slug it out with Debibi United in Zone 1A.

Wonders will have to break the hard knocks of debutants Debibi, who have lost two games, won seven and drawn five – keeping them second on the league table with two points adrift Wonders with 28.

Kumbung Binbiem FC will search for their second victory when they host Manaa FC at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, while Kasena Nan-Kana United clash with Wa Yaasin Jnrs at the Ohene Ameyaw Park same day.
