Sir Diagnose International and Dabin Nti International, 2 educational philanthropic groups last Friday organised their annual charity tour at Adaswasi DA Junior High School in the Eastern Region.
Sir Diagnose International is a UK/Ghana based charity supervised by George Ntiamoah, and has been operating in Ghana since 2011.
Mr Pte Daniel Dabin, Head of Dabin Nti International, visited Ghana in 2018, embarked on a new project aimed to provide solar energy in classrooms that brought about the formation of Dabin Nti International Charity.
This year’s much anticipated trip was well received in the region for many reasons which include the history of the Sir Diagnose International, noted for the love for education and their generosity.
With an aim of improving education in Ghana, the groups, since its inception in Ghana, have been impacting lives at less- privileged schools found in deprived and rural areas of the country.
As part of this year’s Charity tour, the activities included a special sports challenge; Tiger Fit Sports, which is aimed at enhancing teamwork, imbibing the love for sports among schoolchildren and aspiring higher to achieve their goals.
A special guest and sports team captain Chilli Tupa from the British Army was present to lead the new Tiger Fit Sport competition organised for the school children.
At the end of the Tiger Fit Sport competition, the top three teams were awarded with various prizes including a cash prize, mobile phones, medals and certificates.
Natalie Green and Samuel Bediako from East London Hackney were also present at the exercise, and admonished the school children to be hard working and disciplined in all their endeavours.
Gyamfi Isaac, Johnson Appiah, George Darko and Regina Atobra were also present as members from Dabin Nti International Accra group.
