The General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah, has stated that the party now has a crop of young national leaders and moving away from being led by senior citizens due to its transformational processes.
“The CPP has transformed now, we are now attracting a lot of young people, now the leadership of the party is made up of youthful ladies and gentlemen and we no more have old men and old women at the helm of affairs,” she stressed.
According to Nana Jantuah, the leadership of the party has pushed all the old folks to the Council of Elders to be playing an advisory role with youthful exuberance leading the party to transform it and make it more attractive to make impact on future elections.
“Now we have the youth leading the party, all the national leaders of the party are all young people now who are poised to make the CPP attractive to the youth, with the elderly playing advisory roles since the elderly of our party have critical advisory roles to play in the transformational processes,” she assured.
Nana Jantuah appealed to the citizenry especially the youth to join the CPP and work together with the leadership to boost the economy in order to create jobs and wealth for them saying, “You are the ones to help us win future elections to transform not only the party but the nation at large so as to make meaningful impact on the political landscape.”
