CPP to begin aggressive grassroots campaign towards Election 2020 victory – Yaa Jantuah

The newly-elected General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah, has disclosed that the party will soon begin an aggressive grassroots mobilisation campaign to revive its membership drive ahead of the December polls.

“The CPP has what it takes to win the December 7, 2020 elections however, we must commence an aggressive grassroots mobilisation to revive our membership drive to deepen our organisation,” she stressed.

“Now we are going to deepen our organization and make sure we organise at the grassroots, that is the blueprint of the Convention People’s Party, we will organise from the grassroots upwards to win an election in the country and we have tried the two political parties and it is time to also try the CPP.

“The CPP can do it, we did it before and we can do it again, we have the skill, we have the temerity, we have the strength and we have the spirit of Nkrumah and Spirit of God backing us to win election 2020 and even election 2024 with the newly elected dynamic, focused and vision-oriented leadership.

“Over the weekend, we elected new executives led by Nana Frimponmaa Sarpong- Kumankumah as chairperson and Ivor Kobina Greenstreet as flag bearer for the 2020 presidential election, with the new leadership, the CPP is hoping to reorganise its base and win the elections in December.

“The party has not won any election in the country since the beginning of the Fourth Republic, we’re hoping to wrestle power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) who together with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have dominated national elections in the country for almost three decades,” Yaa Jantuah decried. -citinewsroom.com
