COVID-19 Fight: Abena Ghana supports people of Berekum

Ghanaian Actress and Television presenter , Cecilia Konamah Gyase , affectionately called Abena Ghana has supported the people of Berekum in the Bono Region of Ghana, where she hails from, to help in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

The items donated included, Veronica buckets, liquid soaps, sanitisers, plastic tables and bowls among others.

According to her, even though no case had been confirmed in the region, it is better for them to adhere to the precautionary measures because, prevention is better than cure.

Speaking to The Spectator, Abena Ghana said she has always supported her community in her little way, and it was not unusual going to their aid, in this hard times of the coronavirus pandemic.

Abena Ghana revealed that she would continuously monitor the situation and provide any necessary additional support if need be.

She advised the people of Berekum to adhere to the tips from the Ghana Health Service, “I want everyone to stay safe, always wash your hands with soap, and apply sanitiser, and very soon all will be well God is with us.”

Abena Gyase started getting attention after she was featured in a movie titled ‘Supremo’.

She has since featured in a number of local movies like ‘Sika Mpe Ahantan’, ‘War of Roses’, ‘Me Nko Mebusua’, ‘Me Gye Meba’, ‘Tonga’, ‘Teacher Kojo Ring’,  among others.
