The Chairman of International Presbytery of the Fountain Gate Chapel (FGC), Apostle Daniel Asiedu, has admonished Christians to show some level of seriousness during church service to glorify God.
He indicated that some Christians were found doing facial make-ups, combing their hairs, talking in groups, attending to phone calls, browsing the internet, and charting on social media platforms during church service.
Apostle Asiedu noted that other worshippers also did not dressed properly and modestly, attended service late and left before closing time, and did not obey the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The Presbytery Chairman was speaking on Saturday at a service to dedicate His Presence Pastures Chapel of the church constructed at a cost GH¢3, 987,000 at Kenyasi, in the Ahafo Region.
His Presence Pastures Chapel was established in June 2003, through days of evangelism led by Rev. Michael Ayikade, who was transferred to AhafoKenyasi as an Exploration Geologist with Newmont Ghana.
Apostle Asiedu noted that God lived in the hearts of people who loved, respected, cherished, revered and highly upheld him saying that “the Lord will act on your seriousness to answer your prayers.”
He entreated Christians to remain faithful and committed under the saving power of God, especially in times of difficulties and despair, adding that God had been faithful since creation.
The Presbytery Chairman stressed that believers must pray earnestly to God until something happened saying, that your consistency in prayer showed your trust in God.
Apostle Asiedu was optimistic that the unity, love and commitment exhibited by members of the Kenyasi Church would lead more souls to join His Presence Pastures Chapel.
Rev. Michael Ayikade, the Executive Pastor, Desert Pastures in Bolgatanga, told the Ghanaian Times that though they encountered many difficulties and challenges during the establishment of the Kenyasi Church, they trusted God for miracles.
He hailed Pastors Johnson Ojo, Faustina Derry and OpokuFrimpong, the youth group of Sunyani FGC and other founding members of the Kenyasi Church, for their dedicated service to the kingdom of God.
The Toprehene of Kenyasi No II Traditional Council, Nana AduSarpongKumankama, who chaired the event, bemoaned the high incidence of drug abuse, abortion, careless riding and other social vices in the area.
