Chinese national causes harm to Ghanaian co-worker

The Police have arrested a Chinese national for using an offensive weapon to cause harm to his Ghanaian co-worker, Isaac Boateng, at a construction site at Kweikuma, suburb of Takoradi, in the Western Region, on Wednesday.

The  Public Affairs Directorate, Ghana Police Service, in statement, said, preliminary investigation indicated that the suspect, Xue Hue, allegedly attacked the victim,a mason, with a construction company at Kweikuma, with a knife and inflicted a cut on his neck.

Boateng, has since been treated and discharged.

Meanwhile, the suspect is in custody assisting investigation and will be put before court, to face justice, the police added.

Ghanaian Times sources mentioned that Xue, worked for, Paulichenda Engineering, which had been contracted to build structures close to the apartments of the Ghana Navy flats at Kweikuma.

They explained that,  workers on Wednesday,  demanded their salaries and tempers rose and  in  one of the confrontations, Hue suddenly, brandished a  knife and slashed the throat of the victim.

Boateng, got deep wounds and was rushed to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital for treatment. Later, he was discharged, the sources alleged.
