Chief denies involvement in removal of DCE

The Paramount Chief of Asokore traditional area in the Ashanti Region, Nana Dr Susubiribi Krobea Asante, has denied having anything doing with moves to get the Sekyere East District Chief Executive removed from office by the appointing authority for alleged malfeasance, non-performance, disrespectful and development issues.

He maintained that he has not authorised or endorsed any statement to the media, supporting or indicting Mary Boatemaa Marfo, the District Chief Executive for Asokore.

Nana Dr Susubiribi Asante made the denial when he interacted with journalists at Asokore and indicated that “if there are any development issues in the area I need to bring to the attention of the president, I know the appropriate channel to use and will not be doing that through the media, I remain a chief and I am not going to indulge in politics.

“My overriding concern as a traditional ruler has been to bring growth and development to the area, to make things better for my people so as to improve livelihoods and attract investment to create jobs and wealth for the youth, that is what I have been working to achieve over the years.
