Techiman Eleven Wonders held Berekum Chelsea to a goalless draw encounter at home in their week two Ghana Premier League (GPL) fixture played yesterday at the Golden City Park.
The Blues were hoping to bounce back after their defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars on match day one but had to settle for a point in the first ‘Bono derby.’
It was a frustrating afternoon for the home side which failed to break through the solid defence of Eleven Wonders to find the back of the net despite dominating play.
Bright Amponsah only managed to threaten the goal area of Wonders on few occasions but could not get his final touches right to punish the visitors.
The guests also attempted to ‘steal’ the show in the second half with a few runs into the opponent’s half but the host remained resolute and neutralized most of the threats.
Wonders, though could not get a win, appeared satisfied with the point while Berekum Chelsea left the stadium in disappointment.
