Can Thunder Queens halt Hasaacas Ladies unbeaten run?

Thunder Queens have set sight on ending the unbeaten run of former champions Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies when the two sides’ cross-swords in a Southern zone Malta Guinness sponsored Women’s Premier League match day four game at the Legon PRESEC Park today.

Having scored full marks in their first three games, Hasaacas Ladies have stretched their unbeaten run in the league to 21 games in the Southern Zone.

The ‘Doo Ladies’ will be looking to make it four straight wins from four matches against a Thunder Queens side currently fighting for survival this season.

Hasaacas Ladies have survived two of their difficult games in the round against Berry Ladies and Police Ladies and expect a similar opposition today.

Thunder Queens have proved to be a very solid and resolute side that has the penchant to score on any day.

Although Hasaacas has shipped out a lot of players from last season, Coach Yusif Basigi is building yet another winning side that can replicate the Africa feat of two years ago.

Goalkeeper Rose Teye Baah conceded three goals in their last game against Ridge City and coming up against the most lethal frontline in the league so far, it remains to be seen how the Queens would survive.

In Gloria Fosua, the Queens have a goal poacher who can unlock any defence on a good day, however it remains to been seen how she would handle herself but would face to tough battle with Linda Eshun and Faustina Aiddo

A tough battle is expected at the Madina Astro Turf where second placed Berry Ladies welcome third placed Faith Ladies tomorrow.

Army Ladies would hope to bounce back against newcomers Ridge City FC at the El-Wak Stadium today.

Police Ladies have been disappointing this season but look well placed to win against Soccer Intellectuals at the Achimota School Park while Essiam Socrates Ladies take on Ladystrikers in a central regional derby at the Mankessim Astroturf Park

In the Northern zone, there would be a top of the table clash when defending champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies trek to the Bantama Astroturf to play Fabulous Ladies.

In other games, Prisons Ladies will take on Supreme Ladies at the Sunyani Coronation Park, Candy Soccer Academy will welcome PearlPia Ladies to the Nana Agyemnag Badu Park tomorrow with Tamale Super Ladies facing Dreamz Ladies at the Bantama AstroTurf on Tuesday.
