Can Ridge City halt Hasaacas Ladies?

Hasaacas Ladies will look to stretch the lead in the ongoing Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League (WPL) Southern sector zone when they host debutants Ridge City at the Gyandu Park in Sekondi, today.

Hasaacas have 12 maximum points from their first four games, the only side in the league with a perfect record.

Everything favours the host going into the game and this has made it very easy for followers to call the game for the former champions.

Ridge City are winless in their four games, picking only two points from a possible 12 and must find the magic wand or dig deep to grind the desired results from this fixture.

Second placed Faith Ladies harbour similar dreams as the champions as they come face to face withthe visiting Essiam Socrates at the McDan La Town Park today.

Faith Ladies have been one of the surprise packages of the zone and with their form, Socrates would have to play above themselves to return to the Central region with at least a point.

Police Ladies who are chasing their first win of the season will trek to the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast to play as guest of Lady Strikers.

Nothing seems to be going right for the uniform girls who have lost three games and drawn one, conceding eight goals in the process.

In other games of the zone, Berry Ladies will host Army Ladies at the Madina Astroturf.

Northern zone leaders, PearlPia Ladies, will test their title credentials against defending champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Ohene Ameyaw Park at Techiman.

Northern Ladies will come up against Candy Soccer Academy at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, with Ashtown Ladies and Prison Ladies battling it out at the Bantama Astro turf today.

On Monday, the Bantama Astro turf will be the host for the regional derby between Supreme Ladies and Dreamz Ladies.
