Alfred Lamptey aka “Bukom Bomber” has set his eyes on the national featherweight title as he seeks to challenge for a world title.
Bukom Bomber, 17, said the journey to stardom began when he decided to become a boxer; hence he will work hard to achieve his dream of becoming the youngest champion soon.
“I am determined to become a champion, with the help of God and my management I know the sky is the limit, but we must start with the local titles and then move steadily towards the continental and world titles,” he said in an interview with Sportnetgh.com.
According to ace boxing promoter, Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, the ‘Bukom Bomber’ is likely to battle Felix Williams for the national title though they both train in the same gym.
Nigerian born Ghana based Williams held IBF international title before losing it to Josh Wale in the UK recently.
