Bole-Bambio MP donates cement to complete community school

The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi constituency in the Savannah Region, Alhaji Yussif Sulemana has presented 100 bags of cement and a number of plastic chairs to the Bamboi community to support education delivery.

The cement and plastic chairs worth about GH ¢10,000 were purchased from the MP`s share of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to assist complete the community school.

Alhaji Sulemana, speaking to media during the presentation of the items, emphasised that education was key in fighting against poverty and that he would not hesitate to assist improve quality of teaching and learning in the constituency.

“I would do everything possible to help promote quality education in any part of this constituency,” MP stated.

According to him, the Bamboi community made the request to him to assist build a school dormitory for the day Senior High School students during one of the visit to the community last year.

Alhaji Sulemana stated that he was lobbying from various embassies and other agencies to provide more resources to the public schools in the constituency.

He hinted that very soon more community schools in the area would be assisted with furniture and textbooks.

The MP added that a number of brilliant but needy students pursuing tertiary education in the constituency had received some financial support from him.

Alhaji Sulemana advised parents to take keen interest in their wards’ education.

The Gbampewa Chief, Naa Agbaa Jaga II, who received the items on behalf of the community commended the MP for the kind gesture.

He pledged that the items would be used for the purpose for which they were donated.
