The national boxing team, Black Bombers, ahead of its preparation for this year’s Commonwealth Games is set to hold a justifier to select boxers for their participation towards the Games.
The ‘justify your inclusion’, exercise slated from February 17-19 at the DG Hathramani Sports Hall, Accra Sports Stadium, would be open for young boxers who have aspirations of joining the national team for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom (UK).
Akwesi Ofori Asare, Head Coach of the Black Bombers in an interview with the GNA Sports outlined their preparedness towards the justifier and the need to recruit some new crop of boxers into the national team.
“We have young boxers who have been pushing for an opportunity and have the talent to excel in the near future, so I hope this justifier would attain its objective. –GNA
