Bjet Sports Consult launch ‘Soccer Talent Hunt’

Bjet Sports Consult yesterday launched its flagship programme- ‘Soccer Talent Hunt’, an initiative designed to unearth and groom footballers at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium

The launch was conducted by Former Hearts of Oak General Manager, Mr Neil Armstrong- Mortagbe, Captain (Rtd) Andy Sam and former Black Stars international, Augustine Arhinful.

The initiative was geared at identifying good footballers between the ages of 14-23, especially in the rural areas and be given the platform to display and enhance their talent.

Speaking at the launch, Project Coordinator, Mrs Samira Abdul Ganiyu said, the recruitment was opened to young talented footballers across the regions who would have go through four stages.

She said after going through the stages of recruitment, a total of 40 players will be selected into an Academy. 

Mrs Ganiyu said, during their stay at the house, they would be monitored, coached and groomed by top coaches and scouts in Ghana and overseas regularly. 

She added that, footballers would have to go through a registration process with an amount of GH¢30 and follow steps to acquire a code which confirms their registration. 

Captain Andy Sam pledged his support and added that the project will give young footballers the platform to showcase their talents and ride on that to become household names in Ghana and overseas. 

Chairman of the occasion, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe assured the team of his unflinching support for the project. 

Augustine Arhinful who also started his career through such an initiative applauded the team and urged them to remain consistent to unearth more talents.
