The revived Greater Accra Baseball and Softball Association (GHABSA), will tomorrow stage its maiden baseball tournament at Community 8, No 3 School Park in Tema.
The event forms part of efforts by the executives to rekindle and sustain the passion of the game among athletes who have the game at heart.
Under the leadership of Mr Hugo Banzini, Chairman, the recently sworn-in executives would also use the tournament to sustain the interest of the game in the region after a decade of dormancy.
According to Mr Banzini, the occasion would also be used to introduce the new executives of the association to the baseball and softball fraternity.
“We look forward to an exciting and competitive game and expect all participants to give out their best,” he stated.
In all, the event would have four juvenile teams including girls in attendance.
There would also be a Junior All Star curtain raiser game and seniors exhibition display on the day.
