National U-23 side, the Black Meteors defeated Division One League (DOL) club Tema Youth in a friendly game played on Wednesday at the Legon Presec Park.
Elvis Kyei Baffour scored the only goal of the game in the fifth minute of the first half to secure the win for the Meteors in this preparatory game.
The game also served as a justifier for the 24 local based players called to camp as the coach is set to prune down the list and augment his squad with some foreign players.
The Black Meteors will take on Gabon in the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on March 23, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
