Avoid internal wrangling to ‘break the 8’ – NPP Gomoa East

The New Patriotic party (NPP) Chairman for Gomoa East, Destmond Kwabena Otoo, has called on members, supporters and sympathisers of the party to avoid internal wrangling from the recent constituency executive elections and rather unite to win the 2024 general elections convincingly.

He noted that with the massive development projects being rolled out by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, party faithful and well-wishers should work hard in support to ‘break the eight’.

Mr Otoo said the government was working assiduously to alleviate poverty and must be supported and assisted by all to achieve the agenda because it has achieved a lot in the educational sector in constructing many educational facilities in the Gomoa East Constituency and across the country for more children to get access to free Senior High School education.

“Although the government has constructed many roads across the country, a lot of roads in Gomoa East under construction are yet to be completed and the government should impress upon the contractors to complete them on schedule including Nyanyano to Kasoa, Potsin, Liberia Camp, Aprah, Adentem and Mamfra to facilitate movement of people, goods and services.

“Recently the chiefs of Gomoa Nyanyano visited Vice- President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to plead with him for the roads under contraction to be completed on schedule apart from Awutu Senya East Constituency, which is the largest in the Central Region, Gomoa East Constituency is the second largest in the Central Region in terms of population.

“If the development projects in the constituency are to be taken seriously, more votes will follow for the NPP to break the eight years of political party rule due to the declaration of this year as ‘Year of Roads’ by the president I as a reality as all can see on-going road projects across the country and definitely it will come to the turn of Gomoa East to have their fair share of roads construction to ensure NPP recaptures the Gomoa East parliamentary seat in the next elections which the party lost to the NDC in 2020.

“I have done it before by winning Assembly elections, NPP constituency secretary contest and now the constituency chairman position slot so I am in the position to lead NPP to a resounding victory in the 2024 polls in my constituency,” Mr Otoo touted.
