Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Kofi Amankwa-Manu, has begun addressing some basic infrastructure and social amenity needs of communities and institutions in his constituency.
Among the projects he has initiated is a water project for the Ahenema Kokoben community.
“Water is one of the major challenges facing this community but it appears the narrative will soon change as major works on the project have started and solely being funded by me and the Adumasa Water Project has also begun,with an initial funding of GHc5000.
“On my thanksgiving and community needs assessment tour after my election, some communities and institutions made an appeal to my office for immediate specific support and assistance towards some urgent community and institutional initiatives.
“I have, in the course of this month, supported and assisted some communities within my constituency, in the area of education. A hundred bags of cement were also presented to the Atwima Kwanwoma Senior High Technical School in aid of an ongoing school block and similar gesture was extended to the Hemang D/A as well as the Ampatia D/A Schools.
“Renovation works are expected to start at the Nkoransa D/A as well as Ampabame No.2 D/A schools; funds have already been made available for Atwima Kwanwoma and an amount of GHc5000 was presented to the Nweneso No.2 in aid of a community durbar centre,” Mr Amankwa-Manu indicated.
