ATINKA MEDIA VILLAGE LAUNCHES DI ASA SEASON 3

Atinka Media Village (AMV), operators of Atinka TV, radio and online media yesterday launched the season three of ‘Di Asa’ dancing reality show in Accra.

The competition amongst other things aimed at engaging plus-sized market women in a dance competition and also educates them on how to live a healthy life.

Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director (MD), Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour indicated that since the inception of the programme in 2017 many young women have used the show as a springboard to promote their careers.

He said the show has also created business, education and social enterprise opportunities for participants who engaged in it.

Mr Dwumfour announced that this year’s show would be bigger and better than the last two seasons, as he promised to send the audition to marketplaces in all the 16 regions.

“There will be special regional editions in the Greater Accra, Eastern, Western and Ashanti Regions to select final contestants for each of these regions,” he said.

He disclosed that the winner of this year’s edition would ride home a brand new saloon car, with the first runner-up receiving a mini-truck (Abossey Okai Macho) while the second runner up would take home a tricycle (Aboboyaa).

In addition, the MD said the first three winners would have a full sponsored trip to Dubai and encouraged women to partake in the show for a life changing experience.

He stated that the first audition would be at the Mpraeso market in the Eastern Region this Saturday, stressing that all winners would be converged in Accra on June 24 and camped in a lavish Di Asa House to kick start the competition.

The President of Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Mr Roland Affail Monney praised the Management of AMV for such an innovative programme that has made the television channel more exciting and urged them to keep up with the good work.

He also encouraged them to introduce more thrilling programmes to make the airwaves competitive.

The programme saw performances of gospel sensation Joyce Blessing, rapper OGB Fameye, and Di Asa song composer Ntiamoah amongst other artistes.

It also witnessed the presence of former Di Asa queens, actors, radio presenters, market queens and other prominent personalities who thrilled audiences with wonderful dance moves.
