Allegation seeking to indict President in purchase of properties for embassy in Oslo dismissed.

The Office of the President has described as libellous and scurrilous allegations which seek to indict the President in the purchase of properties for the newly opened embassy in Oslo, Norway.

The allegation, supposedly contained in an article published by the Africa Watch magazine, seeks to impugn criminal conduct on the part of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway in the  purchase of the properties.

“The allegations in the publication are baseless, libellous, and scurrilous, and contain nothing but manufactured lies. We are aware of this magazine’s notoriously established agenda of defaming the President through the deliberate publication of such false stories about him.”

“The agenda will fail, as it has failed before. The publishers, editors and distributors of the publication will be dealt with in the appropriate forum,” a statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin said.
