All set for launch of Annual Leadership Devt fellowship programme

All is set for the launch of a mentorship programme aimed at building the leadership qualities of young people in the country in Accra on September 21.

Dubbed, Annual Leadership Development Fellowship, the event was designed to promote interactions between the old and current generations in a bid to develop future leaders.

It would be held on the theme, “Leadership Africa deserves, to attain the Africa we want.”

The event, to be organised by Reshape Africa Initiative with support of Pali Academy of Christian Leadership, would bring together young, middle-aged, and accomplished professionals in all relevant sectors

Panellists for the event include Security and Diplomacy expert, Prof. Vladimir AntwiDanso, Prof. Justice Bawole, Dean of the University of Ghana Business School,  and Ishmael Yamson of Ishmael Yamson and Associates.

Others are Commissioner of Police (COP) MaameYaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and United Kingdom-based International Preacher and educator, Rev.Dr Shadrach Ofosuware

Speaking ahead of the event, Founding President of PALI Global, Frank Paa-Kumi, said currently, there was a significant gap between the millennial and the older generation which was a major contributing factor to Ghana’s current underdevelopment and defunct leadership paradigm.

“We believe that this platform presents a golden opportunity for the younger generation to engage in person with our selected icons of nobility and civility in terms of knowledge exchange, coaching, and impartation,” he stated.

The panellists, he said, have been carefully selected from backgrounds ranging from politics to entertainment.

“This community-centred and youth-focused annual event is believed to stage one of the biggest gatherings of young people from all backgrounds and thought leaders to remove all obstacles needed for a more sustainable and safer future,” MrPaa-Kumi added.

He called on media organisations and other strategic partners to collaborate with the organisers to advance the course of building effective leaders for the country.

Mr Paa-Kumi said the group was committed to creating a robust leadership paradigm that seeks to unearth the hidden talents of young people through mentorship.
