Agona West NPP told to unite for Election 2020

Mr Horace Ekow Ewusi, the Central Regional first Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on the supporters of the Agona West Constituency to bury their differences to win massively in 2020.

According to Mr Ewusi, without unity and mutual understanding among the members, it would be difficult for the party to achieve its desired results and urged them to do way with the enmity and hatred among them.

He made the call at the inauguration of the youth, Nasara and women wings of Agona West Constituency branch of the party at Swedru.

The three wings were sworn into office by Mr. Anthony Kwesi Sackey, Central Regional Youth Organiser of the party and asked them to work hard to retain the parliamentary seat.

The supporters should also give the needed respect and support to their leaders because the MCE for instance represented the President while the MP for Shona West, Mrs Cynthia Morrison, the cabinet and must be offered the desired respect and dignity.

He called on the members of the party who were agitating for jobs and other social intervention reliefs to exercise restraint while government works to ensure the comfort of all Ghanaians.

He said President Akufo Addo NPP led government had taken two years to reverse the mess created by the previous regime.

 Mrs Morrison, assured that contacts had been made with some banks to offer soft loans to women in the constituency to enable them expand their businesses and said that MASOLC was also working to support small and medium businesses as majority of the constituents were business oriented and needed financial support from the government.

Madam Charlotte Adjoa Antwi, Central Regional NPP Women’s Organiser said expectations were high, but they should not be perturbed about the current situation as things would change.

 She said MASLOC loans would be disbursed.

Mrs Justina Marigold Assan, MCE for Agona West enumerated projects that were undertaken within two years of President Akufo-Addo administration in the municipality.

They include: school structures, health, roads, agriculture as well as scholarships to students in tertiary institutions.

Mr Kojo Addo, Agona West Constituency Chairman said the party had chalked successes and was happy that a wooden bridge that became a death trap had been constructed on the River Akora at Agona Swedru Old Sawmill. –GNA
