The motorcycles, jointly funded by the Canadian Government and the government of Ghana under the Modernising Agriculture in Ghana (MAG) Programme, are to help increase agricultural productivity in the municipality.

He advised beneficiaries to acquire riding skills, valid DVLA Licence and also used them only for the intended purpose by visiting the communities to give technical advice to farmers to improve their yields.

According to the MCE, the purpose was to ensure visibility and presence of Agricultural Extension Officers in every rural community, and pleaded with them to commit themselves to the programme to make it a success.

The Municipal Director of Agriculture, Mr Ben Owusu Asante, lauded both the Canadian and the Ghanaian governments for the gesture and assured that the motorcycles would be used for the intended purpose.
