5th CWC Youth Empowerment Summit underway

The fifth edition of the Youth Empowerment Summit organized by the Dansoman branch of the Calvary Word Chapel (CWC) commenced yesterday in Accra.

Scheduled to end tomorrow, it will be under the theme, “Dunamis and Charis”.

It is aimed at using sports as a tool to positively impact the youth through talk shows, sports related activities, mentoring and equipping the youth to make career choices. 

Recognising the current challenges and problems faced by the youth, a medical doctor at the 37 Military Hospital and a sport enthusiast, Dr. Richard Agyepong addressed participants about ways to deal with stress and discouragement in life.

The programme will be climaxed by a football match and a dinner respectively tomorrow.

It is being hosted by Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Dei, a renowned bible school teacher and an international minister of the gospel.

Also featuring is USA based Rev. Albert Botchway, Bishop Okerekey, Michael Tackie Amoah and TV Sports Presenter Erasmus Kwaw.

Calvary Word Chapel started off as a Good News Bible class and grew into a full blown church in 2005 with an aim of propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ.
