400 members of ICGC undergo free health screening

 At least 400 members of the Gateway Sanctuary of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) and its community members at Pokuase in Accra have undergone free health screening.

The beneficiaries were screened of Malaria, Hepatitis B, dental, eye, blood pressure and Body Mass Index (BMI) among others.

It was organised by the Church in collaboration the Ghana Health Service and the Ga North Public Health Department.

The programme which forms part of the Church’s social corporate responsibility was also to commem­orate its 30th anniversary celebration on the theme “Rehoboth for now the Lord has made room for us and we will be fruitful to the Land.’’

The Resident Pastor, Reverend Andrew Darko-Ameyaw in an interview with the Ghanaian Times said the annual event was to en­sure that the church members and the members of the community were in good health. “We pray for the person spiritually, but also provide physical healing to the human being is a soul living in a body and as medical health is very important,” he added

Pastor Darko-Ameyaw said as a church, the health of its members and community members were paramount to them. “We need to provide for the aspect of human body which is prone to ill health”

“Take advantage of this free health screening and seek medical care and visit the health facility to know your status,” he added.

Pastor Darko-Ameyaw urged the beneficiaries to make their health a priority at all time to en­sure they prevent diseases.
