About 26 groups in Kumasi have pledged their support for Vice President,Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in his presidential bid.
The groups at the Kumasi Central Market and Race Course,called New Patriotic Party (NPP) “Identifiable Groups” have declared their unflinching support for Dr Bawumia, in his flagbearership campaign of the party.
According to the groups, “the Vice President is the only candidate among the remaining four vying for the flagbearership, who can enable the party realise the dream of breaking the eight in the 2024 General Election.
Hajia Hawa Abdallah, the organiser of the groups, at a press conference on Monday, at the Kejetia Terminal, in Kumasi, said “the Vice President is the one Ghanaians are waiting for to take the leadership mantle of the country.”
She urged the NPP delegates not to make a mistake, but vote for Dr Bawumia massively in the upcoming primaries.
Hajia Abdallah said that most of the market women have declared that without Vice President Bawumia, they would not vote in the General Election.
In her view, the NPP as a political party belongs to all Ghanaians irrespective of one’s place of birth, religion, tribe or geographical location.”
Hajia Abdallah appealed to NPP delegates to endorse the Vice President massively, on November 4, 2023, to enable the party win the 2024 General Election.
