Two spiritualists have been arrested in a joint operation carried out by armed police and military personnel, at Adu Kwadwo, near Maame Dede in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region.
The shrine of the two spiritualists, Power 1 Herbal and Spiritual Centre, was raided at Adu Kwadwo on Thursday.
The two fetish priests, known as Power 1, 40, and Scorpion, 36, were grabbed for alleged ritual murder, fraud, and the production of fake currencies.
The joint armed security team that came from Accra to undertake the operation, exhumed at least three headless bodies buried in the bush at Adu Kwadwo.
A special police investigative team deployed mainly from the headquarters led by Commissioner of Police (COP) Ken Yeboah, head of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Police, discovered the human parts, that were of two males and a female, all without their heads.
A search conducted by the police also retrieved fresh human head, skulls and other human parts tied in a polythene bag ready to be used for sacrifice.
COP Ken Yeboah said that the police were taking the suspects to Accra to help in its further investigations.
Assembly man of the area, Eric Abeisy, who was at the scene, expressed shock after seeing the dead bodies being retrieved.
