2 Juabeng basic schools get support from Appianyinasehene
The Appianyinasehene of Juaben Traditional Area in the Ashanti region, Nana Kwanin Kwanfo II, has supported two basic schools in his area with 51.
The beneficiary schools includes the Juaben Presbyterian Primary and Methodist Primary schools.
It was the second gesture from the traditional ruler and sports enthusiast to support institutions in his area.
In March, he commissioned a Kindergarten and an astro turf playground for the Owusu Forkuo RC Primary School as a way of promoting sports and education in the area.
Nana KwaninKwanfo IItold the media that the gesture was to support Otumfuo’s educational projects in the country.
“I have always maintained that education is key to the development of any society; especially at the formative stages and so is sports. I have been trying to support the promotion and development of the two. I March, I commissioned the playground but this time, I have desks for the school children.”
“Sports and education have some basic things in common; if you get those basics right from the beginning, the children grow with it so whether its sports or education, I hope they will excel in them based on the foundations we are creating for them.”
The School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) for Juabeng East Circuit, on behalf of the schools thanked the traditional ruler for the gesture which he believes would classroom activities.
