15 Qnet officials remanded in Police custody

A Koforidua Circuit Court “A” presided over by Marian Affoh Polley yesterday remanded  15 officials of Qnet , a network marketing company, into police custody.

The accused persons were among hundreds of Qnet agents who were arrested in Koforidua in the Eastern Region on Friday, October 15,2021.

They were arrested during a special operation carried out by Police Personnel deployed from the Counter-Terrorism and Concentration Camp under the commandant of Chief Superintendent Wejong Raymond Adofeim.

The accused which included some West Africa Nationals however pleaded not guilty.

They were charged for defrauding by false pretences when arraigned before the Circuit Court.

The Judge remanded them into Police custody to reappear today  for ruling on the instant application for bail for the accused persons.
