Guinness Ghana launches promo to reward customers

Guinness Ghana Breweries Plc has launched a national consumer promotion that will guarantee GH₵1.5 million worth of airtime for consumers across the country for their loyalty and support to the company.

Dubbed “Link Up”, the promotion will reward consumers with instant airtime worth GHC5.00 airtime which includes a bonus of GH₵2.50 airtime and valid for seven days, after buying any three of the selected drinks from the Guinness Ghana portfolio of beverages.

The selected beverages are Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, Orijin and ABE Golden Lager Beer.

Speaking at the launch, the Marketing Manager, Adult Premium and Non-Alcoholic Drinks (APNADS) and Ready to Drink (RTD) of Guinness Ghana Breweries, Samuel Dery, said the promotion was meant to give free credit to loyal customers of the company to communicate and interact with their friends.

“At Guinness Ghana, we want to make the life of our customers more fun.  We want to enrich their bar experience as they unwind and catch up with their friends.  We are rewarding our consumers with the talk time to enable them easily call and ‘Link Up’ with their friends for amazing experiences.  What is good time without your squad?  ‘Link Up’ enables our consumers to birth new connections while strengthening old ones,” he said.

Mr Dery said the ‘Link Up’ promotion was open to all consumers but limited to MTN users due to an exclusive partnership between Guinness Ghana and MTN to bring this promotion to life.

Explaining the mechanics of the promotion, the Marketing Manager for APNADS and RTD, said the promotion “starts from November 20 , 2019 and lasts still stocks last”.

“Each time you buy any Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, Orijin and ABC Lager Beer, look under the crown for a unique code.  These unique codes qualify you for instant free airtime.  Dial *1000*Code# from MTN mobile lines.  After your third entry, you’ll receive an instant GHC5.0 airtime.  You will instantly enjoy your share of the GH₵1.5 million worth of airtime to be given away.  It is quite simple,” he said.

He said Guinness Ghana decided to partner with MTN for the promotion due to the nationwide reach of the company.

The Corporate Relations Director of Guinness Ghana Plc, Sylvia Owusu-Ankomah, said the objective of her outfit was to continue to initiate programmes that bring excitement to consumers and add value to their life.

She said in the course of the year, the company introduced a promotion which helped loyal customers of the company to own land and other valuables.
