Another accident occurs at Dzolo-Kpuita

The Ho West DCE, Mr Ernest Victor Apau has  decried the growing trend of over-speeding by motorists on various portions of the Ho-Fume Road, saying that has been the cause of needless accidents on the road in  recent time.

He said that the assembly will team up with the MTTD to enforce traffic regulations on the road and deal swiftly and ruthlessly with recalcitrant drivers.

Mr Apau was speaking to the Ghanaian Times after another accident occurred on the road at Dzolo-Kpuita on Saturday at about 3pm.

The incident involved a car, GT 269 – 10, which veered off the road and plunged into a ditch on the left side.

All the five people on board, including the driver sustained various degrees of injuries.

The only woman among them was left with a battered head.

The DCE whose vehicle was behind the car stopped at the scene, after which he helped to evacuate the victims to the Dzolo-Kpuita Clinic.

“This accident should not have occurred but for the high speed”, the DCE said.
