Organisers of the second edition of the 3Music Awards are set for an outstanding event tonight, as they award deserving musicians in the country at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
“We have put in place the necessary measures for an outstanding event tonight, patrons should expect the best,” Sadiq Abdallah Abu said.
Speaking to The Spectator, the Chief Executive Officer of 3Music Awards, Sadiq Abdullai Abu, said his outfit started setting up the stage on Monday, which was followed by rehearsals, and other important arrangements to ensure a memorable night.
According to him, the last edition, which received a lot of commendations from people, had become a benchmark for them to raise the standards in the second edition.
He said that, they wanted to introduce some innovations and surprises to create an amazing experience for patrons, which would become a norm or convention in the entertainment circles.
On security, Mr Abu stated that the Military Police, the Police and private security would be in charge to ensure the safety of clientele.
In order to charge the atmosphere in the auditorium, Grammy Awards Nominee, Rocky Dawuni, would share the stage with Shatta Wale, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, Wendy Shay, Adina, Joe Mettle, KODA, Medikal, Victor AD, Joey B and Akwaboah Jnr.
The 3Music Awards ceremony sought to award outstanding music and personalities under the calendar year starting from November 1, 2017 to October 31, 2018.
Musicians would compete in various categories like, Gospel Act of the Year, Afro Beat Song of the Year, Fan Army of the Year, Viral Song of the Year, Digital Army of the Year, Best Ghana International Act of the Year, African Act of the Year, Music Man of the Year, Group of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Rated Act of the Year among other exciting categories.
