The Assemblies of God Ghana – Power House Assembly, which turns 30 years this year, is celebrating the goodness of the Lord.
The church, which is located at Banana-Inn near Soko in the Dansoman District of Greater Accra West Region of the Assemblies of God Ghana, was established in 1989.
The Senior Pastor of the church, Rev. Gladstone Cofie, who also doubles as the District Pastor of the Dansoman District Assemblies of God, planted the Power House Church three decades ago, precisely on April 9, 1989, with just one person in addition to him.
He is still the Senior Pastor of the Assemblies of God congregation and assisted by Rev. Paul Amakaful and Pastor Sosthenes Tsribi.
The church, which actually started in a classroom, later relocated in to a kiosk and by the grace of God, the vision of the man of God, and the hard work of the congregation, Power House is now in a three-storey ultra-modern auditorium where it currently holds its congregational worship.
The Senior Pastor of the church Rev. Gladstone Cofie, noted with gratitude how far God has brought the church, adding that 30 years of God’s goodness, love and protection was worth celebrating.
He recounted the ‘high and the low moments’ that the church went through 30 years ago, but added that in all, God has been faithful to him and the church.
Rev. Cofie also expressed his profound gratitude to his wife Mrs Faustina Cofie, his Associate Pastors, Deacons and all members of his congregation for their unflinching support for him during the 30-year journey ‘in the vineyard of the Lord’.
The Senior Pastor looked forward for the salvation of more souls by the church and prayed for abundant prosperity and blessings for his congregation and the nation Ghana as a whole.
The anniversary, which is a year-long celebration, was launched in April 2019, followed up by vigorous preparations. Other activities for the celebration, which starts on October 5, includes health walk and street evangelism, health talk and screening to be held in November, and climaxed in December with games, community cleaning up exercise, traditional day/homecoming and carols night.
