MP presents medical equipment to Bole Govt Hospital

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole-Bamboi constituency in the Savannah Region, Alhaji Sulemana Yussif, has presented medical equipment to the Bole Government Hospital.

The items, which cost about GH¢70,000.00, included incubator, hospital beds, baby courts, clutches, nose masks and mattresses.

Making the presentation at the hospital here on Wednesday, Alhaji Yussif said, the items were procured from the MP’s share of the National Health Insurance Fund, and explained that, it was meant to assist improve quality health delivery in the constituency.

Alhaji Yussif emphasised that the health of the people in the constituency was paramount to him, and would not hesitate to assist in mobilising the needed resources for the health institutions in the area.

This, he said, would enable the health officials to offer quality healthcare to the people, particularly pregnant women and children.

Alhaji Yussif promised to liaise with the district health authorities and other stakeholders to lobby for equipment for the hospital and other clinics in the district.

The Bole District Director of Health Service, Dr David N Bakuri, who received the items on behalf of the Bole Government Hospital, commended the MP for the donation, and said the items would save lives, particularly children.

Dr Bakuri promised to ensure that the items were used for the purpose for which they were donated.

In a related development, the MP presented a motorcycle to the Catholic Clinic in Bole.

According to him, the motorcycle was to facilitate the movement of nurses to and from the clinic.
