Man grabbed for robbing sister of GH¢7,560

A man, who allegedly robbed his sister of GH¢7,560.00, has been arrested by the police at Ashale Botwe in Accra.

 Solomon Akuffo, a brother of the victim, was apprehended together with Emmanuel Kyeremeh, an accomplice.

The suspects, who reportedly assaulted, tied and robbed the woman of her money, were currently in police custody assisting in investigations.

The head of Public Relations of the Accra Regional Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Effia Tenge, disclosed these to the Ghanaian Times in Accra, yesterday.

She said on July 30,at about 1:30pm, the complainant (name withheld)  from Ashale Botwe old town, in Accra, accompanied by a friend  reported at the Adenta police station that her brother, Akuffo, and Kyeremeh tied, assaulted and robbed her of GH¢7,560.00.

DSP Tenge said Akuffo was arrested and he led the police to grab Kyeremeh, and GH¢6,020.00 have been retrieved by the police.
